Shadow Shot Sunday Fruit

I nearly nearly missed SSS today. I remembered just in time. This carved wooden bowl is one I "inherited" from my Mum and Dad. The reason I gained it is because I was actually there when it was purchased in New Guinea way back in the '70s. This fruit however, has a not so long life span. Later on tonight I am going to have a go at my very first Passionfruit Souffle. Stay tuned, if it turns out you'll see a photo!

If you'd like to join in go visit Hey Harriet.

There is something mysterious and alluring about this photograph. It reminds me of some of the paintings by the Dutch masters in the Reijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?

I love this photo. I agree with Magical Mystical Teacher, it is alluring and mysterious. The carved bowl looks wonderful, and I would like to see a more detailed photo of it sometime.

Good luck with your souffle!

Pretty shadow. Never have made a souffle. Looks delicious, and yes, who can complain about having 2. Ha
